Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), established in 2003, successfully created a large-scale infrastructure in Genova and a network of 10 state-of-the-art laboratories countrywide, recruiting an international staff of about 1100 people from more than 50 countries. IIT's research endeavor focuses on high-tech and innovation, representing the forefront of technology with possible applications from medicine to industry, computer science, robotics, life sciences and nanobiotechnologies.
The objective of IIT Center for Space Human Robotics (CSHR@Polito) in Torino, directed by Prof. Fabrizio Candido Pirri, is to make a step further in the study of the future generation of space robotics for human exploration.
1 Post Doc position is available at CSHR@Polito for highly motivated candidates. The position concerns the study, development and characterization of interface systems for advanced robotic sensors. In particular, the activity will focus on the electronic design of PCB level circuits to be integrated with the sensors developed in the IIT@Polito Center. Hardware and Software tool will have to be implemented, with the necessary packaging for system interaction.
A good knowledge of the most important material and sensor characterization technologies, the circuit design of electronic interfaces, the implementation of smart systems and packaging are required.
Candidates have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, a P.hD. in Electronics or Physics along with previous experience and background in implementation of smart systems.
Preferential requirements are first author ISI publications, previous experience gained in foreign laboratories, coordination of undergraduate and PhD students.
A good knowledge of the English language is also required.
